PokerStars Holds the Guinness World Record for Arranging the Largest Online Tournament

A huge assemblage of 35,000 players acquired in to the $11 world record tournament presented on PokerStars, this Sunday, offering a striking prize pool of $500,000.
The tournament continued for an extended period of 9.5 hours with 8,750 players all making it into the money. Interestingly, the 2006 WSOP, the biggest live tournament in the history, only had 8,773 entrants in total. This way, the tournament formally made its way to the Guinness World Record for largest online tournament.

Stan34powa, a French player with an investment of only $11 in the tournament had rolled through the giant field, which marked an extensive inventory of 3,500 tables in progress at its beginning.
Regardless of the massive field size, the players made their way to the money in less than three hours. While hand-for-hand play, 80 players got eliminated, letting the opening of the certain dash to the final table.
