PokerStars Kicks Off the Caribbean Adventure

December 29, 2008: How eventful is the poker world these days? When poker game is sensing the heat of economic downturn, PokerStars alone represents between 20-40% of the total business in the entire online gaming industry. Its representation is further intensified, at times when most of the action is stateside; PokerStars has arranged Caribbean Adventure (PCA), which begins on Monday, January 5th at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

The PokerStars event represented the perfect convergence of live and virtual poker will host several tournaments during the PCA, letting players to assemble at the Atlantis Hotel and witness the largest online poker event ever held. The prize structure of the event is appealing with some of the top players will be up for grabs. Here is a look at the schedule of tournaments that will take place in the Island:

• Monday, January 5th: $10,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event
• Wednesday, January 7th: $2,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em
• Wednesday January 7th: $25,000 buy-in High Roller No Limit Hold’em
• Thursday, January 8th: $5,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em
• Thursday, January 8th: $2,000 buy-in Battleship
• Friday, January 9th: $1,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em

It is expected that in the PCA, gambling legends like Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier, Ryan “Daut44” Daut, Steven Paul Ambrose or John Gale can be taken down by unknowns as the PCA has become a favourite destination for young poker players. However, the $10,000 buy-in events as well as a Team PokerStars Pro Championship Match are also part of the PokerStars’ Bahamas tour.
