Bahamas will welcome the PCA Stars once again

With heavy breezy strokes of winter come the high-stakes tournament circuit to the south this week, landing in the Bahamas for the heat, excitement and complete package of poker action that is the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
January 5th, 2009 will witness, the EPT PokerStars Caribbean Adventure starting at the Bahamas. Widely accepted as one of the biggest poker tournaments other than the World Series poker, the PCA boasts about its potency of attracting more than 1,000 players to the Atlantis Casino on Paradise Island. Moreover, 750 competitors qualified online on PokerStars, reserving their place in the $10,000 buy-in main event.
However, the main event is not the only attraction happening in Nassau this week. Several other such as the Battleship of Online Poker, the World Cup of Poker Final and a wide range of Sit and Go, Satellite and side events have also been planned. In addition to this, a $25,000 high-roller tournament will also begin on Jan. 8. The tournament is expected to draw some of the leading names in the game.
Suitably planned and programmed, many experts could catch a halfway stop on the Bahamas on their way to Australia, where the important events of the Aussie Millions will begin shortly.
Primitively, a segment of the World Poker Tour, the PCA is now a stop on the European Poker Tour. This means that this time, PCA will showcase schools of fishy North American online qualifiers having the same shark infected waters as the menagerie of Eurodonks that runaway from the cruel winters of this continent in quest of a sunnier and much warmer weather.
Preceding year, a large field of 1,136, together with 845 PokerStars qualifiers, made the record for PCA turnout. However, this time around, the insiders anticipate a much bigger main event.
