Norwegian Cruise Line teams up with PokerTek, Inc. for a 90 day Field Trial

PokerTek has brought a wonderful offer for all cruise lovers. The company has decided to start a 90-day field trial on Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Pearl and if all goes well and the trial becomes a hit, tables will get installed to all 11 of Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships.

Earlier also, PokerTek has experimented this sort of an arrangement with dealerless, automated PokerPro tables placements on all 22 of Carnival Cruise Line’s boats.

Jim Abbas, Vice president of casino operations, Norwegian Cruise Line has said, “We are eager to see how successful PokerPro is on one of our newest ships, Norwegian Pearl”. He further adds, “The ship offers tremendous choices already, from bowling to rock climbing, and automated poker is one more exciting entertainment option. PokerPro was recently installed within our casino, which offers an array of traditional table games, along with a wide variety of slots not offered by any of our competitors.”

According to Robert Perry, Vice president of Sales, PokerTek, Cruise ships and Poker tables are a perfect match. “Our previous installations on cruise ships have proven to be profitable for our customers and well-received by their vacationers onboard,” Robert Perry has said. “We're hopeful that Norwegian Cruise Line will see the same results. PokerPro allows cruise ships to offer an extra amenity to their guests in a cost-effective manner.”

The company has installed numerous machines in different geographies all over the world, and most recently regions to receive its services are Louisiana and San Diego.

One of the positions for the cruise ship jobs available on board a cruise ship is to be a dealer in its casino. Since casino's on board only operate for a specific period of time, working on it is not that hard.
