Las Vegas Casinos Both pick the month of February for their Tourney Series

Is it really a coincidence?
Well! Once again both The Venetian and Caesars Palace have chosen the same month for their huge poker tournament series. However, Jim Pedulla, Caesars’ poker room manager, smartly answers this coincidence and says, “When we schedule these things, we look at what’s in the best interest of the company and what’s in the best interest of the players. He further adds, “We think that when you look at the competitors, and their price range is in one person’s pocketbook or bankroll, we think that it’s appropriate to go against them and have a lower-priced product, which I believe is higher caliber.”

Of late, Caesars declared the schedule of its third Mega Stack tournament series, which is expected to run from Feb. 1-26. On the other hand, The Venetian had announced course of its Deep Stack Extravaganza V series preceding week. The very popular Extravaganza will have 24 tournaments running from Feb. 2 to 25.

Last time, the two major poker events the last Deep Stack Extravaganza and Mega Stack tournaments collided in the month of November.

The Venetian’s Deep Stack series hosts around 17 $330 buy-in events, by and large in no-limit hold'em. However, in the series, it also features single Omaha eight-or-better, H.O.R.S.E., and pot-limit Omaha tournaments. The main is priced at $2,500 with the higher-priced events are at $550 and $1,070.

With Caesars’ Mega Stack series, players will have16 $225 buy-in events, all in no-limit hold'em. On 14 February, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, one of those events would be a couple’s tournament. The higher priced events at Caesars are at $330 and $540 and its main event is fixed at $1,070.

As far as the most affordable tournaments of their respective series are concerned, at Caesars, players will have a chance to start with 12,500 in chips at Caesars and 12,000 in chips at The Venetian.

On talking about last year, Mega Stack had attracted approximately 100 players for its highly inexpensive tournaments, whereas Deep Stack Extravaganza repeatedly, hosted tournament fields of more than 300 players and registered a peak of about 452 players challenging on 20th of November.
